In 2014, Rundle College launched themes as a subject in selected grades in which traditional (and often politically influenced) subject matter was replaced by relevant, interesting, topical and factual material presented in a different format. Students were bored with the traditional history and geography subject matter and feel stimulated by theme exposure with content that is more relevant.
Learnings and topics inspire students to share their new knowledge with mom and dad or granny and grandpa at home by discussing topics that are interesting and eye-opening. Students are finding and unlocking their inner passion, the outcome being that they are more likely to pursue a vocation that suits their inherent interests and appetite for life. Subject matter includes a host of different subjects, including English, History, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Botany, Zoology etc.
